Today University of Louisville medical programs which serve young patients received a grant in the amount of $578,664 from the WHAS Crusade for Children.

This funding will benefit more than ten programs which serve children with special needs.

“For the families that have a child with autism or a child with a learning disorder or a child with a seizure problem or chronic lung disease, all those types of children will benefit by the work that we’ll be able to do because of these funds,” said Dr. Jerry Rabalais, Department of Pediatrics chair.

This year’s grant from the Crusade bring the total granted to UofL programs to more than $5 million in the last ten years.
