The 59th annual WHAS Crusade for Children was held June 2-3, 2012 raising a total of $5,189,348.69. It was an effort put forth by thousands of people including firefighters, volunteers and donors. Here are some of highlights from the 30+ hours of live television and radio coverage.
Baby Calendar winner
Emmalee Hettinger’s supporters raised the most money for the WHAS Crusasde for Children making her the Cover Baby in the 2012-13 Crusade Baby Calendar. WHAS legend Wayne Perkey and WHAS11’s Bryan Baker introduce you to Emmalee and the other finalists.
Lafayette tops $1 million in Crusade donations
Longtime Crusade supporter Lafayette Township Fire Department hosted an open house at its remodeled fire station #1 on Saturday, June 16, 2012. This year, Lafayette topped the $1 MILLION milestone in raising money for the Crusade over the years — Thanks and congrats!
