Republic Bank Foundation’s $180,000 Donation
Helps Crusade For Children Top 2010

Company Release: June 6, 2011

Louisville, Ky.—The Republic Bank Foundation has agreed today to make a donation of $180,000 to the WHAS Crusade for Children. With Republic’s contribution collections for the 2011 Crusade now total $5,301,881, topping 2010’s total of $5,301,182. As Kentucky’s largest locally-owned community bank, Republic is proud to help the Crusade through its foundation, knowing that the money raised directly benefits schools, hospitals, and agencies that tend to special needs children in the Louisville area. Republic is also proud to stand with Louisville’s fire fighters, whose tireless efforts did so much to make this year’s Crusade a success.

“At Republic we don’t just talk about community we live it, and have since opening our first area banking center in 1982,” says Steve Trager, Republic Bank’s chairman and CEO. “As Republic Bank has just completed the most successful quarter in the company’s history we want to continue to share that success with the community we serve. Our motto—‘We were here for you yesterday, are here for you today, and will be here for you tomorrow’—truly guides our actions, and helps explain why we are so thrilled to help Louisville’s youngest citizens.
