Rodes City Run has record day

On the first day of Spring, a record 8,760 registered and 7,300 completed the 6.2-mile Rodes City Run on Saturday, March 20, 2010.

Proceeds from the Rodes and all three Louisville Triple Crown of Running TM events benefit the WHAS Crusade for Children.

Triple Crown trophy unveiled
On February 24, 2010, race organizers unveiled “Footed Flight,” a new trophy to be given to the Triple Crown winner(s) of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running TM presented by Novo Nordisk. Ngoc Phan is a self-taught ceramic artist currently serving as Artist-in-residence at Louisville Stoneware. The ever growing race series was thrilled to be approached with this unique idea from the owners of Louisville Stoneware.

More about the Louisville Triple Crown of Running

The Triple Crown series represents three separate road races of varying distances and all net proceeds are donated to the WHAS Crusade for Children. The Louisville Triple Crown of Running TM donated $128,000 to the Crusade in 2009.
