Walton Trophy goes to Jennings Township

Even in a tough economy, Kentuckiana firefighters still came through for the WHAS Crusade for Children. One fire department is being recognized for its amazing fundraising effort.

Crusade CEO Dawn Lee told the fire department, “Last year you increased your Crusade for Children giving by 157 percent!”

For that effort, Jennings Township Fire Department received the Jim Walton Trophy for small fire departments. This group of volunteer firefighters raised more than $5,000 for the Crusade.
