WHAS11 Sports Director Kyle Draper is about more than X’s and O’s.  He’s also a helping hand for the WHAS Crusade for Children.

Students at Sacred Heart Model School presented Kyle with a donation to the Crusade for $1500.

They raised the money as part of their community service during Catholic Schools Week.  Part of the $6,000 raised was awarded to the Crusade because Kyle spoke at a school assembly earlier this year.

“We’ve decided to focus on children this year and so we’re giving to Brooklawn, to the Children’s Crusade and other places like that,” said Porter McHenry, Sacred Heart Model School student council president.

Porter says they were able to raise so much since it benefits children.  SHMS students felt directly connected to where the money is going.
