A casual joke has turned into serious money for the WHAS Crusade for Children.
Rod Hamby’s friends at Jefferson County Public School’s Adult Continuing Education looked on as Rod paid up with his hair. When they said they’d pay for the pleasure of seeing his head shaved. Rod said if it’s for the Crusade, you’re on.
Hamby said, “We decided, I say we, the group of us were talking about it decided to do it here to raise money for the Crusade for Children. I think it’s a great cause. I’m happy to lose my hair for that.”
Rod’s clean-shaven head brought in a whopping $500. He says everyone needs to try a new look now and then.
