Crusade grant creates new playground

The children of Our Lady Of Peace received some good news. They now have a new playground.

With a snip of the scissors an accessible playground officially opened. 11-year-old Haven got the honor of being the first youngster to enjoy the play area funded by several groups including the WHAS Crusade for Children.

Martha Mather, Chief Operator Officer of Our Lady Of Peace said, “Without the Crusade funding we would not have been able to put in all of the different play boosters on our playground. And in addition to the play boosters we were able to lay down some safe flooring for our kids.”

The playground is available to children four-years-old and up. Haven’s initial favorite is the swing set.
