While the annual celebration known as the WHAS Crusade for Children was held June 2 – 3, checks and pledges continue to be delivered by businesses and organizations.

Mike Stallings, owner of Pacers and Racers running store in New Albany said, “Pacers and Rracers would like to present the WHAS Crusade for Children with a check of $5,050… Cheers!”

With the help of sponsors like the Joe Huber Family Farm, the running store Pacers and Racers had a record turn-out of 370 runners and walkers for the event they call the Barnyard Dash on Saturday, June 9 at Joe Huber’s. In two years the run/walk event has brought in more than $10,000 to the help the children served by the Crusade.

In this photo are representatives from Pacers and Racers, the Joe Huber Family Farm and Restaurant and members of the Lafayette Township Fire Department who also helped out on the run.
