Crusade funded agencies gather in Bowling Green
WHAS Crusade for Children CEO Dawn Lee visited Bowling Green on Thursday, September 1 to announce Crusade grants for Warren and surrounding counties.
With the help of WBKO-TV Meteorologist Chris Allen, Dawn handed out checks to ten south central Kentucky agencies and schools who serve children with special needs. The total going to those agencies is over two hundred and ten thousand dollars. Western Kentucky University received a large part of that total. In 20 years, Western has received over one million dollars for scholarships, direct services and training.
Hot Rods host Crusade
While in Bowling Green, the city’s baseball team the Hot Rods invited CEO Lee to throw out the first pitch and provided an area to talk to baseball fans about getting involved in Crusade fundraising.
