Crusade friend Ju-Ju The Clown dies
The WHAS Crusade for Children has lost a dear friend.
Judy Barcus, better known as “Ju-Ju The Clown” passed away Friday, April 15, 2011. Retired from AT&T, she was a longtime Crusade supporter having volunteered as both a phone operator and clown for more than 35 years.
The badge she wore on her clown suit said it all, “Official Crusade Clown.” And that she was. A friend to children, a helping hand to firefighters and a believer in the cause, that was Judy.
With her infectious laugh, she left every Crusade event by saying, “If you ever need anything, just call me!”
Ju-Ju we’ll miss you. Rest in peace. She was 64.
