Crusade hosts “Password” at KECC kickoff

Hundreds of Kentucky state employees attended the kickoff of the 2009 Kentucky Employees Charitable Campaign (KECC) at the Frankfort Convention Center on Monday, August 10.

Governor Steve Beshear gave a rousing keynote address and KECC Chairman Jonathan Miller, Secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet, inspired those who attended.

Miracle Dancers bring down the house

Annual performers on the the Crusade’s June telethon, the “Miracle Dancers” from the Diane Moore Dance Academy, performed an emotional number and were rewarded with a standing ovation from all in attendance. Later, they were thrilled to have their picture taken with the Governor.

Everbody loved Password – a big hit

The theme of the 2009 KECC kickoff was game shows. Each of the six charity created their own. The Crusade hosted “Password.” More than 150 people played the game in teams of two. The Crusade teamed up with several state agencies to make “Password” a great success. Thanks to Public Protection, Tourism, Economic Development, Military Affairs and Unified Prosecutorial. We had a great spirited bunch! If you didn’t see our crew dance to “YMCA” — you missed a lot!
