Agencies, fundraisers and WBKO come together to celebrate!
About 36 friends of the Crusade gathered July 28 for lunch at a Bowling Green restaurant to meet, greet and share ideas. WBKO-TV’s morning meteorologist Chris Allen hosted the meeting.
Fundraisers from Kroger, the Hunters Crossing Neighborhood Association and Warren County fire departments joined agencies from South Central Kentucy that receive grants from the WHAS Crusade for Children.
Crusade CEO Dawn Lee presented facsimile checks to each of the agencies. They will begin to receive their grants after September 1, 2009.
Dawn also presented a plaque to the management of WBKO-TV for their endless commitment to the Crusade. WBKO has aired portions of the annual WHAS Crusade for Children for the past seven years. Chris Allen also interviewed Dawn on WBKO’s Midday program.
Here are some photos from the luncheon.
