Kentuckiana Corvette Club 11th annual car show June 6

The 11th annual Kentuckiana Corvette Club Car Show will take place on Crusade Saturday, June 6, 2009 9:00am to 4:00pm at Louisville’s Waterfront Park. Registration closes at 1:00pm. See classic cars, choose your favorite, it’s a fun-filled family atmosphere in a beautiful setting. (Rain date is Sunday, June 7, 2009.)

Tri City Van & Storage is the major sponsor for the event this year.

Rockcastle Hospital Golf Scramble June 24

To benefit the WHAS Crusade for Children, it’s the Rockcastle Hospital Golf Scramble at Eagle’s Nest Country Club, Highway 39 North in Somerset, KY.

  • Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.
  • Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m.
  • Shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
  • Limited to the first 72 paid players
  • Crusade fundraising!
    Since 1990 Rockcastle Hospital has participated in annual fundraising, including a softball tournament, golf scrambles, roadblocks and solicitation of money from local businesses and hospital employees, to raise for $73,069 the WHAS Crusade for Children.

    To date, Rockcastle Hospital has received $442,585 from the Crusade and purchased two trip vans and numerous pieces of equipment
    including a specialized bathtub and portable ventilators.

    “The WHAS Crusade for Children has enabled Rockcastle Hospital to
    improve not only the services we provide to children with special
    needs, but also their quality of life,” said Linda Gregory, Director of Speech Pathology and Crusade Coordinator at Rockcastle Hospital.
